Well, hope you enjoyed my little post! =)

P.S. Please pray for a member in my church named Richard. He went to the hospital yesterday because he was having a lot of trouble breathing. He had a collapsed lung, and I'm pretty sure they did surgery on him today. So just keep him in your prayers. Thanks! =)

She's OK!

Hey, guys! :)

I wanna thank you guys for all the prayers. Lila's grandma came through surgery fine! :)

She's in the hospital recovering right now. My cousin told me that it started about 7 am and ended about 1 pm yesterday. The doctors said that it really couldn't have gone much better! God definitely kept her safe and guided the doctors! :)

Even though the surgery is over, she's probably still in a lot of pain, and won't be able to do much for a while. So please just keep her in your prayers! Thank you! :)

Prayer Request

Hi, guys! Will you please pray for my cousin, Lila's grandma? She's having an open heart surgery today. My family and I are really worried about it.

Here is the e-mail my cousin Lila sent me last night...

Hey. I was just wanting to let you know that my grandma is having a major surgery tomorrow. It is an open heart surgery and the surgery its self will take at least 5 hours! There are many risks and everyone is nervous and praying for her. The reason for the surgery is she has an aneurysm. It is in one of her heart valves. They are going to remove the valve and replace it with a pig valve. (Apparently pigs have the same size heart as humans.) She will be in the hospital for I think about a week or so until she is allowed to go home. (If everything goes smoothly) She will not be able to do anything for at least a month, including driving, cooking, and for a little while, standing and walking. I am really worried, along with the rest of my family. Every night in my prayers I ask God for a successful surgery and a successful recovery. I pray that nothing will go wrong and that she will feel ok by Christmas. Please pray for my grandma! She needs all the prayers she can get.

Please keep her and my family in your prayers.

Thank you

Jokes

"Mister, why doesn't this cow have any horns?" asked the young lady from a nearby city. The farmer cocked his head for a moment, then began in a patient tone, "Well, ma'am, cattle can do a powerful lot of damage with horns. Sometimes we keep 'em trimmed down with a hacksaw. Other times we can fix up the young 'uns by puttin' a couple drops of acid where their horns would grow in, and that stops 'em cold. Still, there are some breeds of cattle that never grow horns. But the reason this cow don't have no horns is, well, ma'am, because it's a horse."

"What time does the library open?" the man on the phone asked.
"Nine A.M." came the reply. "Why?"
"Not until nine A.M.?" the man asked in a disappointed voice.
"No, not until nine A.M." the librarian said. "Why do you want to get in before nine A.M.?"
"Who said I wanted to get in?" then the man added quickly "I want to get out!"

I thought those were funny.

I'm going on a camping trip today, so pray that I'll be safe. Have a nice day! See ya!

Katie :)

Jesus Is Awesome!

Okay, this post is all about...
(Get ready to read)
I've been thinking a lot about Christianity lately - Witnessing, praying, and reading my Bible.
I am not the best witness, by a long shot! I guess because I'm so shy. But, I'm working on that! ;) I'm not very good at reading my Bible either. I do read my Bible every day, well, I try to, and I do pray everyday. But, we could all do better, right?

And, I was thinking of angels being around me, too. I could just picture angels surrounding me and having me in a big bubble that protects me from everything.
I don't think we realize how often Jesus protects us. We could be walking down the side of the road, and a car drives past us - we don't think about it, but that car could have slid off the road and killed us! But, maybe God protected us and the people in the car, and kept the car from hitting us.

A family from our church had a house fire not too long ago. They have seven kids and one of their daughters is one of my bestest friends. Actually today is her birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETHANY!!!! She's turning 14. But, anyway, her and her sister's room caught on fire. The firemen said that if the they would have been in bed at the moment, that one of them or both have them could have died!!! And if one of them would have gotten out, she would have third degree burns! But, luckily, they were all in the living room, which is on the other side of the house, watching a movie together, so all of them were okay. And, they all (including some people who knew them) were in a circle rejoicing and thanking God that they were all okay. And, some of the firemen looked confused. Here they are, they just had a fire and they're rejoicing? ;)

And someone is our church's mother is in the hospital. (So, please pray for her) We went to visit her today. (They're Christians by the way) And, her heart rate was racing and she was brought to the hospital. And her husband was watching her heart rate on the meter thing. And he said he watched her heart rate go from like 120 to like 60 in a split second. No one could explain how, not even the doctors knew what happened, but her and her husband knew what happened. ;)

Isn't God FANTASTIC?!?!?!?!

I love this picture! In fact, it's my new wallpaper on my desktop! Every time I see pictures like this, it makes me smile and look forward to going to Heaven with Jesus then I will be one of those children sitting on Jesus' lap. Sigh... I just can't wait until we get to go to Heaven. Can you? I know I can't!

Matthew 14:25-33
25During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
26
When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.
27But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
28
"Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
29
"Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
30
But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
31
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"
32
And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
33
Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

Good night!

Precious Is Home!!!!

I have some great news! Precious is home!!!!! Friday night she came back home, and I wasn't there. And Dad told me over the phone that Precious had came back home! But, I don't think she feels all that well. She's been laying around, sneezing, and other stuff that may be the sign of a kitty cold. She slept all day yesterday. Just still pray for her, that she'll feel better. Oh, and I'd like to thank everyone who prayed that she'd come home. Without your prayers, she may have not came home. So, thank you everyone who prayed! It really means a lot to me! And, while I was gone with the family from church, their daughter (who is 7, 8 in August) heard me talking to my dad on the phone about Precious. After I got off the phone, she asked me what was wrong. I told her that my cat, Precious, had come home. And she said that God probably fed her and took care of her while she was gone. It was so cute! She is so cute! And, for all I know, God could have fed Precious and took care of her while she was gone. Well, anyway, thank you guys for your all prayers and I'm so glad that Precious is home!

Katie

Please Pray For Precious.

Hello! I hope you all are having a good week!

I need you guys to pray for my oldest cat, Precious. We went on vacation about a week ago and left our cats at home. We got our neighbor to look after them for us. After we left, no one has seen Precious. Not our neighbor, not us, not anyone! Oreo was fine, but Precious was nowhere to be found. We just hope she's alright! We're getting worried! No one has seen her for almost two weeks now! I was just wondering if you guys could pray for us and her. She was my second cat, and I've had ever since I was four. She has always loved to be outside a lot, exploring, but she is usually back by now. We have had this happen a few times before, but she always came back. I'm hoping this will be one of those things where in a few days she'll come home. Just pray that she's okay, and that we find her. I'll let you guys know if we find her or not, and I'll be sure to keep you updated. Thank you!

Smiles,
Katie

Prayer Request

We just got word about 8:15 this morning that my building of the school has been broken into again. We (Dad, Mom, and me) went down there, and the window was smashed with a mop they found around back. They got inside and messed everything up. They broke in the window while getting shards of glass everywhere, dumped a bag of candy on the floor, stole a little bit of money, ransacked a few of the student's offices (not mine, thank goodness), tore up the teacher's office, cut the power off damaging the electrical box on the outside of the building, and stole the big, white van!!! The keys to the van were in my teacher's drawer, so that's how they stole it.They didn't steal as much money like they did last time. They could have maybe stolen about $25, but not more than that. They didn't really vandalize anything, but they did screw up everything. The police were there for a while and told the other police officers to be on the lookout for a large, white van. And, since the power was out and investigations and everything, we called off school for my class. My classmates were really upset that they had to go home early! LOL

Thankfully, the van was spotted in a cornfield in a small town in the middle of nowhere about thirty minutes from the school. They did smoke, there were ashes in the van. They obviously searched through the papers in the van because the papers were all over the floor. They tore the magnet off the side of the van and busted the side of the left, side mirror of the van.Otherwise, they didn't do much harm to the van, thank goodness.

Last year they stole about $800 to $900 dollars that we had just earned from a fundraiser. We think they're the same people that stole the money last year, but we're not sure. I have said ''they'', but we don't know if it's a ''she'', ''he'', or ''they''.

So, the prayer request is, is that we catch the people or person that has been doing this, and that they or the person gets saved. Thank you!

Smiles,

Katie
