Hey, guys! :)

I haven't died or anything :) And I hope I haven't offended any of you guys because I haven't been leaving comments on your blogs, but you guys are still on my mind. :)

Anyway, just letting you know I'm still here. :)

Clumsy Bird

So the other day, I was at the door when I noticed a feather on the window. I looked closer and saw an imprint of a bird on the door.
The poor thing must've hit the door hard because I can even see an imprint of his eye and beak!!

This might help you see it.

It's a lot clearer in person. This is the best picture I have.

Weird. Anyway, have a nice afternoon!! :)

Westmoreland State Park

Tuesday, my class took a field trip to Westmoreland State Park!! It was sooooooooooooooooooo much fun!!! :D

When we first pulled up, there was a fence there and over it was the water.

Here's a map of all the trails...
I outlined the way we took in white. We took the longest way possible. :)

Here's when we first started...

And a few pics of the scenery around us :)

After walking for about twenty minutes, we reached the beach.

On the left was a little ledge you could climb onto. You felt like you could see all the beach and everything!! :)

I took these pictures from the ledge. :)
My friend told me that there are only cliffs like that in 3 places in the world. Amazing!

Next we walked further across this ramp over a swamp...

I took these pics from the little porch thingy on the end of the ramp...

Then we walked further down...

Here's the sign we saw at the end of the ramp. We stayed on the turkey neck trail the whole time.

You would follow these little paths around these steep hills.

We went up a few stairs...

Then across a few more ramps...

And we continued on...

And on...

And on...

Until we finally reached the road.

Then we walked beside the road on this graveled path.

Then we finally got back to the parking lot where we ate lunch then played on the playground for about a half hour.

Then we took another short hike down to the beach.

Look at those stairs!

Then we walked for about five or ten minutes down the path...

Then we reached the stairs... the ever-so-long stairs...
It felt like it was never-ending! Then when we got to the bottom, my teacher made us all run up them!! My legs still hurt!!! :P

Anyway, it was a super fun field trip!! :)

Smiles,
Katie :)

Happy April Fools Day!

Hope you guys Have a wonderful April 1st! :)

~♥~♥~♥~

I've got a funny story to share with you guys today:

In Florida, an atheist created a case against Easter and Passover Holy Days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians, Jews, and observances of these Holy Days. The argument was that is was unfair that atheists had no such days recognized.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the man's attorney, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!" The attorney immediately stood up objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter, and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur, Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do, your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant." The attorney said, "Your honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is 'April Fools Day'. Psalm 14:1 (which is also my verse of the day on my sidebar. How weird is that?!) states, 'The fool says in his heart, There is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court that if your client says 'There is no God' then he is a fool. Therefore April 1st is his day." Then the judge added, "Court is adjourned."

~

Gotta love that judge!

Katie :)

Snow in Spring?

So, all last week I had heard on the weather that there was possible snow over the weekend. I didn't pay much attention to it because the weather predictions here (especially when it comes to snow) is usually wrong....... but not this time! :)

Yes, Sunday morning I woke up with a light coating of snow on the ground. :) It wasn't much, but just enough to make everything white. :)

I love this picture with the snow on the daffodil. :) It's not often (at least where I live) that you see snow in late March! :)

Smiles,
Katie :)
